How to start diving from scratch
BY NAMUBAKShare
Do you want to learn to dive but don't know where to start? Don't worry. In this guide, we explain step by step how to start diving , even if you've never done it before. From mental preparation to your first dive, this blog will guide you every step of the way so you can make the best decision.
Why learn to dive?
Learning to dive is much more than a new skill: it's opening a door to another world.
- You connect with nature in a deep and silent way.
- You challenge your fears and gain personal confidence.
- You join a global community of conscious divers .
- You can support conservation causes such as the protection of reefs and marine wildlife.
Each dive becomes an experience that changes the way you see the planet.
How do you know if you're ready to dive?
You don't need to be an athlete or have any prior experience to become certified as a diver. But there are some important things you should keep in mind:
- Minimum age: 10 years for PADI Junior Open Water.
- Physical condition: good general health, no serious respiratory or heart problems.
- Water confidence: You don't need to be a great swimmer, but you do need to be comfortable floating or moving in the water.
- Mental attitude: openness, patience, respect for marine life and willingness to learn.
