Fighting plastic pollution
Our impact starts with the products we create and with them you are helping us to carry out waste collection campaigns on the beaches, seas and rivers of Costa Rica.
It is important that we raise awareness of this growing problem. Every year more than 350 million tonnes of plastic are produced and only 9% of this is recycled.
Researchers have observed that each washing cycle of a washing machine can release more than 700,000 microscopic plastic fibres into the environment.
That is why it is of utmost importance to wear environmentally friendly clothes that do not release microplastics when washed.

Part of our philosophy is to encourage people to explore, connect with and care for nature through our sustainable clothing.
Our products are made with the lowest environmental footprint and with the most comfortable and sustainable materials. We use natural textiles such as bamboo, hemp and organic cotton.
Natural fabrics are a very healthy choice for the skin, thanks to the sweating and insulating effect of the prepared garments themselves.
Also some of the many other benefits are its natural antibacterial qualities and the softness produced by its natural and pleasant touch.

we plant trees
At Namubak we love nature. We love being surrounded by it. That's why we carry out reforestation campaigns to combat our CO2 emissions and help restore natural areas affected by uncontrolled logging.
Together with our brothers from Compra Sin Plastico we have planted more than 1000 trees to date.
Reforestations are key to raising people's awareness about the importance of trees and how they can be our greatest allies against the climate crisis.
